Zohran is in a fortuitous situation in that he is running unopposed for his House seat in the November election. It is good to see so many New York Progressive candidates who are winning their elections unopposed.
Catalina Cruz

Cruz (Working Families Party, Democratic Party) is running for re-election to the New York State Assembly to represent District 39. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 8, 2022."
In a win for Progressives, Catalina Cruz is running unopposed in the Working Family Party primary, and will be unopposed in the General Election on November 8th. Progressives in her District should get out the vote for her and plan to vote for her.
Ron Kim

Ron who is a long time incumbent will be on the ballot for the Working Families and Democratic Parties and will be opposed in the General Election by a candidate who will be on the ballot for the Conservative and Republican Parties. Progressives should be supporting Ron going into the General Election so that he can build his base to win in November. Progressives in his District should be planning to get out the vote for Ron and to vote for him in the General Election on November 8th.
Marcela Mitaynes

Marcela will be on the General Election ballot for both the Democratic and Working Family Parties. She will be opposed by a challenger who will be on the ballot for the Conservative and Republican Parties. Her District has voted Democratic in previous elections, but is uncertain what impact recent redistricting will have on the election. Progressives should be planning to get out the vote for Marcela so that she can win in the General Election on November 8th. Phara run unopposed in the General Election on November 8th. Another win for Progressives. Progressives in her District should plan to show their support for Phara by voting for her in the General Election on November 8th.
Harvey Epstein

Harvey faces a Republican opponent in the General Election on November 8th. Progressives should be supporting him going into the General Election. Progressives in his District should be getting out the vote and voting for him in the November 8th General Election.
Vanessa Agudelo

Vanessa will be on the General Election ballot as the Working Families Party Candidate. She will face a Democrat she lost to in the Democratic primary and a Republican who is on the ballot on both the Republican and Conservative Party candidate lines. It will be a challenge for Vanessa to win the General Election on November 8th. Intensive Progressive support will be required through to November 8th. Progressives in her District should work to get out the vote and to vote for Vanessa in the General Election.
Sarahana Shrestha

Sarahana will be on the November 8th General Election ballot as the Democratic and Working Families Party candidate. She will be opposed by a Republican who will be on the ballot as both the Republican and Conservative Party candidate. She was successful in winning the Democratic primary against the incumbent Democrat. Hopefully, continued support to this candidate will result in a win in the General Election on November 8th.
Phil Steck

Phil who has been in this office since 2013 will be running on the ballot as the Democratic and Working Families Party candidate and will be opposed by a challenger who is running on the ballot as the Conservative and Republican Party candidate. Phil has won his elections in the past handily, but recent redistricting might have an impact. Progressives should be supporting Phil so that he can build his base to win his district in the General Election on November 8th. Progressives in his District should plan to get out the vote and to vote for Phil on November 8th.
Scott Comegys
State House, New York State House District 130

Scott's name will not be on the primary ballots since he is unopposed. He will however face the incumbent who will be on the Republican and Conservative ballot lines in the General Election. This will be a challenging election, but it is possible that the incumbent may face a backlash based on the abortion issue.
Progressives should be supporting Scott NOW in order that he can work to build his base as we head into the General Election on November 8th. Progressives in his District should be working to get out the vote and planning to vote for him in the General Election.
