Martin faces no other candidates in the Democratic primary on August 2nd. He will have to face a Republican candidate in the General Election on November 8th. Arizona has been trending Blue in recent elections, but to date many Democrats have not been able to get elected to state government Executive offices (with the exception of the Secretary of State). Progressive support will likely help starting NOW, but definitely will be needed to insure Martin will be elected. This is definitely an election that won’t be easy to win, but Progressive votes might get a win in the General Election on November 8th.
