    Candidate briefing

Elizabeth Lee is the 2026 Democratic nominee for Arizona’s 5th Congressional District. A nurse, patient advocate, and parent, she won the July 21 primary with 66.0% of the vote, ahead of Chris James and Brian Hualde.

The East Valley seat is open after Rep. Andy Biggs left the race. On November 3 Lee faces Republican Mark Lamb, a former Pinal County sheriff, in a district Republicans have long held. She is running to be the first woman to represent AZ-05, on a platform of health care that works for families and an economy that does not treat working people as an afterthought.

Phoenix Metro DSA endorsed her campaign. Why Political Revolution supports her: a nurse taking on a deep-red open seat is exactly the kind of working-class challenge this map needs.
