Shay Frisby won the September 15, 2026 Democratic primary for Delaware State Senate District 5 with 3,059 votes (58.4%) over incumbent Ray Seigfried (2,181; 41.6%). A Working Families Party–endorsed organizer and child care advocate, she is the progressive nominee for the Claymont–Arden–Brandywine Hundred seat. In the November 3 general election she faces Republican Brent Burdge and Independent Carolyn Frank. Political Revolution endorses Frisby to deliver universal child care, health care access, and economic development for working families in northern New Castle County.
