Jen faces no challenger in the Democratic primary on August 9th, but will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November. Although her District number is changed with redistricting, the District is basically the one she was originally elected to represent. The District has voted heavily Democratic in recent elections. John faces no challengers in the Democratic primary on August 9th, but will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. Progressives should be supporting him going into the General Election and if in his District, should plan to vote for him. His old District is partly included in what is now District 40, but changes to the District may impact his re-election chances.

Lindsey Port

Port (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Minnesota State Senate to represent District 56. She won in the general election on November 3, 2020."

Lindsay recently announced on her Facebook page that she will be running for MN State Senate District 55. She will not be facing any challengers in the Democratic primary, but in the General Election on November 8th, she will face a Republican challenger. With recent redistricting the senate District 55 covers much of Lindsay's old senate District which leaned Democratic in the past. Progressives should plan to support her going into the General Election, and if in her District, to vote for her in both the Democratic primary and the General Election on November 8th.

Omar will face one challenger in the Democratic primary on August 9th and a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. Progressives should plan to support him NOW in order that he can win the primary. His District was heavily Democratic in past elections, but has been extended south, and it is unknown what impact this will have on electability.

Liz faces no Democratic challengers in the August 9th primary. She will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. Although her District number is changed with recent redistricting, the District itself is the same one she has been elected to in the past, and it votes Democratic. Liz holds a leadership position in the MN house, so Progressives will want to insure that they support her and if in her District, vote for her in the General Election on November 8th.

Dan will not have to compete in the primary, but will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. His District is changed with recent redistricting and it is uncertain what impact this will have on the election. In recent elections, the District has leaned Democrat, but a Republican filled the seat as recently as 2016. Progressives should be supporting Dan, who is Assistant Majority Leader in the MN House, as he heads into the General Election on November 8th.

Tina's name will not be included in the Democratic primary ballot, since she faces no Democratic challengers for her seat. She will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. Her District number is changed but she is basically running in the same District, the southern Rochester suburbs, and this District has voted Democratic in previous elections. Progressives should plan to support her going into the General Election on November 8th, and if in her District, should plan to vote for her.

Progressives should be supporting Carlie NOW because her District is competitive and she will need support to build her base going into the General Election. Progressives in her District should be planning to vote for her in the General Election November 8th.
