2022 race briefing
David Bowen represented District 10 in the Wisconsin State Assembly from January 2015 to January 2023. In 2016 he was one of Wisconsin’s Democratic superdelegates and was listed among those supporting Bernie Sanders.
Bowen ran for lieutenant governor in 2022 and suspended his campaign on June 2, saying he was still grieving his mother’s death that March. Sara Rodriguez won the August 9 Democratic primary and the November general election.
In 2023 Bowen ran in a special election for Milwaukee Common Council District 1. He lost the April 4 general election to Andrea Pratt by 17 votes, 2,560 to 2,577. PolRev covered his 2022 campaign, and this page remains as a record of that race.
