    Candidate briefing

Marquita Bradshaw was the 2026 Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Tennessee. A Memphis environmental organizer, she won the August 6 primary with about 55 percent of the vote over Maria Brewer and three other candidates. On November 3 she lost to Republican Sen. Bill Hagerty in a rematch of their 2020 race, according to NBC News projections. Memphis-Midsouth DSA has endorsed her campaign.

Bradshaw was the Democratic Senate nominee in 2020. Wikipedia records her work with the Sierra Club and as a labor and environmental organizer in Memphis.

Why Political Revolution supports her: she was the progressive Senate nominee in Tennessee after winning a multi-candidate primary.
