Morgan Harper is a Columbus native, an attorney and a former senior advisor at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She co-founded the community group Columbus Stand Up!
She ran for Ohio’s open U.S. Senate seat in 2022 and lost the May 3, 2022 Democratic primary. The Democratic nominee, Tim Ryan, lost the November general election to Republican J.D. Vance, 46.9% to 53.0%.
