50501 a decentralized national protest/movement fighting for our democracy, our constitutional rights, and to oppose the growing alt-right fascism that has been growing in this country. It is completely grassroots organized by volunteers and participants around the country.
On February 5th, Salt Lake City, UT was one of approximately 50 protests across the country that resulting in no violent incidents but organized to oppose the authoritarian actions of Donald Trump. On February 17th, normally Presidents' Day, we are organizing again to advocate for the protection of freedom, individuality, and democratic safety. While the steps of the Capital Building in SLC will again be flooded with thousands of Utahns, we know that Southern Utah is just as affected by these funding cuts, tariffs, and general chaos of these last few weeks.
Please join us outside the Washington County Building to get involved! Obviously, please leave weapons at home. This is a peaceful protest through a peace-seeking movement. Feel free to bring the whole family to make their voice rightfully heard. Parking will be potentially limited, so please carpool or walk where possible.
