Patti Minter, a Western Kentucky University history professor, represented Kentucky House District 20 in Bowling Green from 2019 to 2023. She ran for re-election in 2022 and lost the November 8 general election to Republican Kevin Jackson.
In July 2026 Gov. Andy Beshear appointed Minter to the Kentucky Board of Education as an at-large member. Her term runs through April 14, 2030.
