    Candidate briefing

Bob Brooks is the 2026 Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District in the Lehigh Valley. He served as a Bethlehem firefighter from 2005 to 2025 and became president of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association in 2021.

He won the May 19 primary with 41.0%, ahead of Ryan Crosswell, Lamont McClure and Carol Obando-Derstine. He now faces Republican Rep. Ryan Mackenzie in one of the state’s top House battlegrounds, and a late-September poll showed him with a narrow lead.

Our Revolution and the Working Families Party have endorsed him. Why Political Revolution supports him: he is a union firefighter running to take back a swing seat on a pro-worker platform.
