President’s Day Protest -DC

Protest to uphold the Constitution and end executive overreach!

UPDATE: PERMIT IS BEING OBTAINED FOR REFLECTION POOLS IN THE CAPITOL. THE CAPITOL POLICE HAVE INFORMED US THAT UPPER SENATE PARK, WHICH WAS THE ORIGINAL LOCATION, IS TOO SMALL FOR US AND IF WE REACH OVER CAPACITY, WE WILL BE DISPERSED. FOR THIS REASON, THE MOVEMENT HAS MOVED IT TO THE REFLECTION POOLS. PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR MORE DETAILS.

UPDATE #3: - The WMATA Maps page is at https://www.wmata.com/schedules/maps. Note: There will be track work over the long weekend primarily affecting riders of the Orange and Silver Lines coming from VA. The Courthouse and Rosslyn metro stations will be closed, with bus service replacing train service. - Dress for the weather. Bring drinks, snacks, etc.

- Wear red, white, and blue (if not clothing then hats, scarves, bandanas, armbands). 

- Bring a sign or carry the American flag.

- Allow yourself plenty of time. Plan to arrive early.

     - Hands off our federal dollars!

     - Return our workers to their jobs!

     - We demand our money and our workers back!

     - We demand our federal programs back!

     - Federal money for the workers and farmers, not billionaires!

     - Respect court orders!

     - Bring back the federal watchdogs!

     - Congress - Stand up for the people!

     - Congress – Support the people not one-man rule!

     - Congress – Return our money and our federal workers!

     - Congress – Return our federal programs!

     - Congress – Support family farms!

     - Support the people and the courts, not Trump/Musk!

     - Congress – Where is your oversight?

     - Congress – Save yourself before it’s too late!

     - Congress makes the laws, not the President!

     - The time to stand up to authoritarianism is now!

     - Down with government by billionaires!

     - Good government for the people, not tax breaks for the wealthy!
