Where / When / What:  We Stand with American Democracy Rally

The Kenosha County Democratic Party will hold a peaceful public rally on Saturday, March 1 10am at Civic Center Park.

The Purpose:  

-To show that we stand with American Democracy as it was intended, not with a President who allows an unelected billionaire to fire federal workers, take away promised funding for American farmers, and dishonor our civil servants and veterans,

-To show that we cannot accept unqualified Trump loyalists confirmed to lead our agencies,  

-To show that we stand with our allies, including and especially Canada, who has always been among the first to stand with us,. 

-To show that we will stand with our LGBTQ+ neighbors, friends, and family members

-To show that we stand with Ukraine, its people, and its leader President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in their opposition to Russia and their invasion of Ukraine,  

-To show we oppose the cuts to USAID, to our park system, the attempts to destroy American public education, and that we oppose this administration’s  treatment of immigrants, 

-To show we support Civil Rights, the need for DEI, and ADA initiatives until the playing field is level,

-To show support for the three branches of government and the separation of powers as intended in the U.S. Constitution.

Bring your homemade, family-friendly messaged signs highlighting the issues most important to you.  This is a peaceful event that will take place no matter the weather.  Free parking in a structure at 8th Ave and 57th Street and free street parking are both available.
