2022 race briefing
Christy Clark won the District 98 seat in 2018, defeating Republican incumbent John Bradford III 50.5% to 49.5%, and served in the North Carolina House of Representatives from January 2019 through December 2020. Bradford won the seat back in 2020, 51.7% to 48.3%.
In 2022 Clark faced Bradford a third time. In the November 8, 2022 general election, he defeated her 50.9% to 49.1%, a margin of 660 votes.
