About this event
Join Us at a "50501: Rally for Democracy". For 249 years we have been refining a government "of the people, by the people and for the people". Help us make it to 250! Come find out why democracy matters and what we can do save it! Confirmed speakers include:
Shenna Bellows, Maine Secretary of State, and candidate for Maine Governor election in 2026
Jordan Wood, Founder and former Executive Director of DemocracyFIRST, former VP (Political) at End Citizens United, and former Chief of Staff for former US Representative Katie Porter
This is an outdoor rally on a town common. Limited parking is available on site, but the location is amenable to drops off. Additional parking is available at the Harold B Clifford playground parking lot. Spry attendees can also park at the local high school parking lot (236 Townsend Ave. Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538) and enjoy a 15 min walk up the road. Carpooling is encouraged.
