OR

From Ballotpedia: "Alexi Giannoulias (Democratic Party) is running for election for Illinois Secretary of State. He declared candidacy for the Democratic primary scheduled on June 28, 2022."

Alexi competes with two other Democratic challengers in the June 28th Demorcratic Primary. UPDATE: Alexi has won the Democratic primary. Alexi will compete against a Republican challenger. The state leans Democratic, and if Alexi can win the Primary, he will likely win the Illinois General Election on November 8th. From Ballotpedia: "Molly Donahue (Democratic Party) is a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 68. She assumed office on January 1, 2019. Her current term ends on January 1, 2023.

Donahue (Democratic Party) is running for election to the Iowa State Senate to represent District 37. She is on the ballot in the Democratic primary on June 7, 2022."

With Iowa redistricting, there is no incumbent running in the Primary where Molly will face one other candidate. If we want a Progressive to win this seat, Molly needs to win the June 7th Primary to advance to the General Election on November 8th.

Charles WON the Democratic Primary in Kentucky, and he will be running against Rand Paul in the November election. Winning in the General Election on November 8th will be an uphill battle for Charles. Progressives should be supporting him NOW through the General Election and, if in Kentucky, should plan to get out the vote and to vote for him. It is possible Charles could win this election, since progressive Andy Beshear was sucessful in winning the statewide Governor's office, but this is definitely not certain as the rating service rate this race as Solid Republican and Safe Republican.
