    Candidate briefing

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represents New York’s 14th Congressional District in the U.S. House. Since flipping the seat in 2018, she has been one of the country’s clearest voices for working-class politics — Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, housing justice, and an end to corporate capture of democracy.

She won a fifth term on November 3, defeating Republican Diamant Hysenaj, according to NBC News projections.

Why Political Revolution supports her: she treats politics as an organizing project, not a career ladder, and she keeps building power for the progressive movement in Congress and beyond.
