Angela Gonzales-Torres is a Highland Park housing advocate and democratic socialist running for U.S. House in California’s 34th District. In the June 2, 2026 top-two primary she finished second with 30.7% of the vote (36,708 votes) and advanced to the November 3 general election against incumbent Democrat Jimmy Gomez, who finished first with 46.0% (54,993 votes). Our Revolution endorsed her in September 2026. She supports Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, tuition-free public college, stronger protections for gig workers, and expanded childcare and paid leave.
