    Candidate briefing

Bob Brooks is the U.S. representative-elect for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District in the Lehigh Valley. He served as a Bethlehem firefighter from 2005 to 2025 and has been president of the Pennsylvania Professional Fire Fighters Association since 2021.

He won the May 19 primary with 41.0%, ahead of Ryan Crosswell, Lamont McClure and Carol Obando-Derstine. On November 3 he defeated Republican Rep. Ryan Mackenzie in one of the state’s top House battlegrounds, according to NBC News and Associated Press projections, flipping the seat.

Our Revolution and the Working Families Party have endorsed him. Why Political Revolution supports him: he is a union firefighter who took back a swing seat on a pro-worker platform.
