2022 race briefing
Doug Hoffer was first elected Vermont State Auditor in 2012, and PolRev supported him in 2022, when he won re-election. He won again in 2024 with 60.6% of the vote. Hoffer is not running in 2026 and will serve out his term, which ends in January 2027. He has endorsed Tim Ashe, the Democratic nominee to succeed him, who won the August 11, 2026 Democratic primary.
