Kimi Cole studied at the University of Nevada, Reno. She has chaired the Rural Nevada Democratic Caucus, served on the executive boards of the Nevada State Democratic Party and the Carson City Democrats, and served on an advisory board for Silver State Equality.
In the June 14, 2022 Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, incumbent Lisa Cano Burkhead won with 57.7%, ahead of Debra March at 23.6% and Cole at 8.2%. Republican Stavros Anthony won the November general election.
