This will be a difficult election for Melanie to win, and if Progressives want to see this seat going to a Progressive, support will be requited NOW, and through the November 8th General Election. Melanie currently needs to build her base and somehow distinguish herself in a field that includes a Democrat, a Conservative, and a People’s Party candidate in the General Election on November 8th. This seat is rated in 2022 as Toss Up by Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Lean Democrat by Inside Elections. A Progressive running on positions that reflect what the people of American want for our country may be just what is needed to get a Democratic win in November. But support will be required for Melanie to win.
