Mike Ortega ran as a Democrat for the U.S. House in California’s 46th Congressional District in 2022, challenging incumbent Democrat Lou Correa.
In the June 7, 2022 top-two primary he finished third with 12.3% of the vote. Correa (49.1%) and Republican Christopher Gonzales (15.6%) advanced, and Correa won the November 8, 2022 general election with 61.8%.
