    Candidate briefing

N’Kiyla Thomas was the 2026 Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Oklahoma. Born in Ardmore, she has worked as a nurse, a community health worker and a stay-at-home parent, with ties to the Chickasaw Nation, autism advocacy and military-family networks.

She won the August 25 Democratic runoff over Jim Priest, 61.2% to 38.8%, after a campaign built on an anti-AIPAC message.

She lost the open-seat race to Republican Rep. Kevin Hern on November 3, according to NBC News and Associated Press projections. Why Political Revolution supports her: she is a working nurse who took a people-first campaign statewide in one of the reddest states in the country.
