Ruben faces no challengers in the Democratic primary on August 2nd. He will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. Although his District number has changed, it does not appear that his District boundaries are substantially different from previous elections. The District has gone heavily Democratic in previous elections. Progressives will want to keep Ruben in Congress and help him build his base, so that should he decide to run against DINO Krysten Sinema in the 2024 senate election, he will have strong support among voters in the District and in the state of Arizona.
