Andy Kim is New Jersey’s junior U.S. Senator, sworn in on December 8, 2024 after defeating Republican Curtis Bashaw in the November 5, 2024 general election. A progressive Democrat and former U.S. representative from New Jersey’s 3rd District (2019–2024), he won a competitive 2024 Democratic primary and succeeded interim appointee George Helmy in the seat once held by Bob Menendez. PolRev supported his Senate campaign. He is not on the 2026 ballot; his current term runs into the early 2030s, with the next election in 2030.
