Tyeisha “Tye” Grier won the September 15, 2026 Democratic primary for Delaware State House District 28 with 1,085 votes (53.1%) over incumbent William Carson Jr. (957; 46.9%), unseating a long-serving Appropriations chair. Endorsed by the Working Families Party, the Central Delaware NAACP president and veteran campaigns for community infrastructure and working-family priorities in Kent County. No Republican filed for HD-28, so Grier is the unopposed November nominee. Political Revolution endorses Grier to bring progressive leadership from Smyrna–northern Dover to Legislative Hall.
