Martin who serves as Senate President Pro Tempore of the state senate will face no challengers in the Democratic primary on August 9th. He will face a Republican challenger in the General Election on November 8th. His District has changed somewhat with recent redistricting, but has voted heavily Democratic and for Martin in past elections. Progressives should be supporting Martin going into the General Election and if in his District, getting out the vote and voting for him in the November 8th election.
